Slow shutter speed
Of course we want to nail the focus and sharpness of a photo 99% of the time, but sometimes it’s fun to experiment with your shutter speed. I love a good motion blur or an entire photo that’s blurry, and here is how you do it:
Slow down your shutter to around 1/3 and let your subject move around. This can be a human or a moving object (like a train). Depending on the natural amount of light and how slow your shutter is, the amount of blur will change.
Sometimes you can accidentally blur a photo because your settings were wrong, but that’s not always a reason to discard the photo. Sometimes having a blurry photo of a specific moment is better than none!
