So glad you’re here!

Hi, it’s me, Julia, the person who’s made it her mission to create non-cliche photos for you.

I was born in Germany, spent my teenage years in the UK and took off to India for a while when I was a teenager. I later moved on to Argentina and Ghana, where this whole thing turned into a real job. 13 years later and it’s still my full time career, which I couldn’t be happier about. I now live in the south of France and often still go to Berlin, where I spent the last decade. I have always been creative but I don’t have one of those stories where I’ve always known that I wanted to be a photographer. It just happened that way and suddenly made so much sense. I had so many different weird jobs to afford living in different countries on my own, before I realised I could make a living doing what I love. And that definitely didn’t happen over night.
I feel extremely grateful that I get to photograph people in love or someone sitting on a pile of 300 lemons in an empty parking lot, and call it my job. So when I get to photograph you, you can be sure that I will give my everything, because I never take this work for granted and I truly love what I do!
I don’t take myself too seriously and I’m a very relaxed, slightly sarcastic person who overshares and wants you to have the best time during your shoot. So if you’re looking for someone who you can have a laugh with AND who produces killer photos for you at the same time - look no further!

A little about me…

  • family

I am lucky I get to call these two weirdos my family. They get me through life and one day I’m going to have a home in the countryside with 5 more dogs, chickens, goats, ducks and maybe a donkey.

  • we got hitched

We eloped on a hot June afternoon in 2021 with just our closest friends and had pizza and champagne afterwards. That was the legal part - we then had a big wedding in France a year later, where we spent a whole week celebrating with our loved ones.

  • good company

One of my favourite things is to cook for my friends and throw together an impromptu dinner party. Give me a an excuse to celebrate something and to have friends over, and I’ll start cooking. My friends are family to me and I would do anything for them.
We now have a bed & breakfast in Provence where we have a lot of get togethers.

  • weekends

You’ll most likely bump into me at a flea market looking for whiskey glasses, another coat I don’t need, antique jewellery, anything apothecary and random knick knacks. Or you’ll find me at a deserted beach. Also very likely, I’ll be lying on the couch watching trashy reality tv.

Definitely a highlight of 2021.
